The importance of water!

  Look at that little fellow trying to drink the water =D Well.. we should do it too!! Many people don't realise how important water is, it is more important than we can imagine. Water has numberous functions for our bodies. Don't forget that every cell in your body - blood, brain, organs, muscles, joints, skin contain lots of water! Women should drink like 1,5 to 2,2 liters of water per day and the men should drink 2 - 3 liters per day. It is more a question about the size of the person.
  •   Drinking water helps to lose weight! It does not contain any calories, also it supresses the appetite. Sometimes we think that we are hungry but actually we lack of water.
  • Drinking a good amount of water everyday can lower the risk of a heart attack.
  • Being dehydrated can sap your energy and make you feel tired. If you're thirsty, you're already dehydrated and this can lead to fatigue, muscle weakness, dizziness and other symptoms.
  • Often people get headaches just because not drinking enough water.
  • Water is used by the body to help flush out toxins and waste products from the body.
  • Drinking water is good for your skin ( every cell contains lots of water ) and helps you to look young.
  • It lowers the risks of bladder cancer, colon cancer and potentially reduces the risk of breast cancer.
  • Better results in training ( always keep hydrated before, durning and after training ). Durning the training consume the water little by little, just so much that you won't get dehydrated.
  As you can see we can not live without water, we need it everyday. When you go out, try to carry a bottle of water with you, it is good to stay hydrated all the time =) If you arent used to drink much water then try to get that habit little by little. I hope it helped you guys =)

Truth about getting visible six pack abs!

  Who doesn't want nice six pack abs? Just so you know everyone has them but maybe not the same size. The question is how to get visible six pack abs.
  Many people think they will get visible abs by doing lots of abs exercises. That isn't true at all. They get stronger and the abs grow a bit but that wont make them visible unless you have lower body fat.
As I said you need lower body fat to get visible six packs, by just doing abs exercises you wont get them because they dont burn your fat.
  What you can do is follow a good diet ( look at my earlier blog how to diet ) and do more dynamic exercising where you burn calories. So you will lose the body fat.
  It is easy to get 4 pack abs because for them you don't need that low body fat. For the six pack abs it is much harder because you have to lose overall body fat and after that it will start burning the lower stomach fat where your last 2 abs are.
  TIP: Dont forget to strech your abs after doing abs exercises.

Why is streching good for you?

  I really like streching and I need it in wushu and bboying ( breakdancing ).
Not only me but everyone should strech once in a while. It is not only useful for sports people but everyone.
  For sports people it is very important to strech because it helps to reduce tension in muscles and prevent injuries. The muscles will heal faster and won't be so stiff after a workout. Also the more flexible your muscles are the stronger is your performance. If you have flexible leg muscles then you can jump much higher.
  If someone is working out in the gym to gain muscle mass then they have to strech aswell. If they don't then their muscles will be really stiff and cause problems to their lower back, upper back, legs ( picture it like that: your muscles will pull your arms, legs, spine and everything else more and more together because your muscles are getting stiffer and stiffer ) It can cause problems to your nerve system.
  For people who don't do that much sports.. well it is still good to strech because it gets your blood flowing, helps to relax muscles before and after a long day of work ( less back and lowerback problems ), you will feel more fresh. Also when people get older they often get lower back problems,doctors will also tell you to strech but think how much harder it is to strech when you are really old and have to do some special boring streches xD People who strech are much more flexible when they get old and more active, having less health problems.

Diet by eating more often o.O

  Yes it is true, eating 5 - 6 meals a day is the best and healtiest way to lose weight. People often think if they diet they have to skip meals and eat like just 1 - 2 times a day. By doing so you will mess up your metabolism which is important for burning fat. If you eat regulary 5 - 6 times a day your metabolism will stay at its peak.
  People are used to eat 3 big meals a day but like that it is easier to gain weight. Firstly your body can not digest that food so easily which isn't good for your stomach. Secondly it is much harder to burn up that much energy so it will be added to your fat resources.
  The point in losing weight is to burn up a bit more energy than you consumed ( will be harder when your metabolism is really low so dont skip meals ). But by eating 5 - 6 small portioned meals a day will be good for your stomach because it is more easy to digest that food and you won't have a hard time by burning up that energy you consumed. By adding a little fitness to it you burn up more than you consumed and so you won't mess up your metabolism but you will look fresh, no yoyo effect and lose easily weight. That is the right way to diet, it depends on you how much extra energy you spend each day.
  But remember:
  • Eat small portions ( the size of your fist or palm full )
  • Fruits are great for the morning and night time ( 8-9 pm ).
  • You can always eat an apple if you feel like the portions are not enough.
  • Exercise even a bit, you can lose weight without workout but workout is what makes your body pretty and shaped.
  • Stay away from junk food! Eat fruits, vegetables and other foods that aren't filled with calories ( rice, potatoes but not fried ) 
  • YOU CAN DO IT!!

Exam madnessss =O

So tomorrow is my first exam in Estonian. I dont know what to think about it. I just give my best and hope the best. Today I wanted to post a topic about how to diet right but it was a long day and now I have to rest for my exam =) I hope you guys understand.
After this exam I am going to have an exam in germany then english, math and physics. For physics exam I have like 1 month free =) I am happy about it.
 Today was an awsome day, something special happened =)

Crash diet = diet - t = die?

  Many people think that the best way to lose weight is to go trough a crash diet like the poor Garfield here. This isnt true at all, actually it is not healthy for your body. Do not keep totally away from food unless your fasting ;) But dont fast to lose weight, that isnt the point of fasting.
  Why crash diet is bad for your health?
  • The vitamin loss in your body would be really huge.
  • Dangerous for your vital organs like your heart, kidneys, liver, brain.
  • Women... it can result in hair loss because of the lack of vitamins and minerals in your body!!
  • It will start burning up your muscles to get energy. Makes your skin, body sloppy and weak.
  • Your metabolism will drop rapidly.  
  Even if it seems like your losing weight... it will mostly be water from your body and muscle mass. After you start eating again it can result in a yoyo effect which means that your body will start saving every extra calories as fat!! And on top of that because of your super low metabolism it will be much harder to lose that new extra fat!
  In result you will have damaged your vital organs, maybe a % of your hair, have a sloppy body and possibility to gain even more fat than before. People crash diet isnt good for anyone. Get fit the right way!!

Bananas, what are they good for?

  Many people don't know it but bananas are really awesome. They come really handy if you do sports... why?
  Firstly it is really good to eat 2 bananas before training because it gives an awsome energy boost in no time! 2 bananas can provide energy for a 90 minute workout.
  Secondly after training your blood sugar rate will have dropped but bananas contain three sorts of natural sugars: sucrose, fructose, glucose combined with fibre which will restore the lost blood sugar rate really fast. And again it gives a great boost for recovery after training.
  Bananas are also good:
  • agains blood pressure, strokes because bananas are rich in potassium and low in salt
  • for studying improvement because bananas are rich in potassium
  • for the nerve system ( B vitamins ) and for PMS ( Vitamin B6 )
  • even against morning sickness
  • Losing weight because it is rich in energy but you wont gain any weight, it really is an awesome helper for that!!!!
  • against depression because it contains tryptophan, which is a protein that the body converts into serotonin which makes you relax improving your mood and makes you feel more happy =)
  • against anaemia because it is high in iron, stimulating the production of haemoglobin
  Bananas are a must for every athlete and fitness lover. I hope we learn to value them more
than before =)
